Artist's statement: As it was with the drawing that preceded this print, there was an image of a sheet of stamps that obsessed me. I wanted to make it large, and then reduce it down through one of the photo processes I was experimenting with.
About Caroyln Law
In the early 1970s she was a graduate printmaking student at the UW School of Art. She received her MFA in 1975, and then established Triangle Studios along with a classmate, Norie Sato. The two attracted five more artists to their cooperative studio in the Prefontaine Building near downtown Seattle. She remained with Triangle Studios until the mid-1980s. She and her husband Andey still work and lives in Seattle.
