Mini Halfwood Press No. 12
2005. Mariner Halfwood Press. Serial No. 60012. Black walnut, ipe, steel, plastic, brass.
From Halfwood Press: The Story, by Harris Sweed: "In November Bill gave his third demonstration at Daniel Smith, Inc. calling this one Artist’s Stamps. In the Q&A session afterward, one of the visitors, Peggy Larson, asked, “Can you print collagraphs?” It happened that Bill had in his toolkit a piece of mat board—a sixteenth-inch thick paper stock that printmakers sometimes use instead of metal as a base for making collagraph plates. With a razor-sharp utility knife he scored a design in the surface, then inked and printed it. Peggy could see right away that the answer was Yes. Peggy Larson became the owner of number 12."
