Artist comment: Although I am a printmaker, I want to paint sometimes, and for awhile I had a large space in our living room and for this inviting space I stretched a large canvas. I played with this canvas for months! Then when it was time to move on, I had no place to store it so I cut the painting up into pieces. The target heart flag series emerged out of this.
